Shane Womack married his college sweetheart, Phyllis Beyer, in June, 1979 in Lawndale, California. They have five adult children: Amanda (married Aaron Roberts), Jeniece (married Andrew Harris), Luke (married Allison Greene), Micah and Haley.
He received his BA in Christian Education from Pacific Christian College (now Hope International University) in 1978. Emmanuel Christian Seminary (formerly Emmanuel School of Religion) is where Shane earned his MA in Religion. He planted Saguaro Christian Church (now Stone Creek Bible Church) in Phoenix, Arizona in 1986. After that, he was the Evangelism Pastor at Overlake Christian Church in Redmond, Washington from 1995-98. From 1998 to June 2015 Shane was the Senior Pastor of Knott Avenue Christian Church in Anaheim, California. Currently, he is the Teaching Pastor at La Mirada Christian Church in La Mirada, California.
Phyllis received her BA in Social Science from Pacific Christian College in 1983. She cofounded Living Alternatives, a pro-life ministry in Fullerton, CA. She loves encouraging women in their faith and served as the Women’s Pastor at Knott Avenue Christian Church from 2007 to 2013.
Together, the Womacks have been teaching a 10-hour conference called “Solomon, Sex and Marriage” in the Western United States since 1993. They have co-taught a couples’ conference at Cannon Beach Conference Center (cbcc.net) in Oregon since 1997. Shane and Phyllis co-hosted a live, call-in, marriage counseling radio show called “Marriage 911” in the Seattle area from 1996-98.
As pastoral counselors, Shane and Phyllis have worked with hundreds of married couples. As teachers of “Lifemates” (a five-hour seminar) and the “Solomon, Sex and Marriage” conferences, Shane and Phyllis have taught thousands of husbands and wives.
Shane and Phyllis reside in Huntington Beach, California. Shane is an avid doubles volleyball player. Phyllis enjoys bike rides, new books, great sermons, old movies, and ending the day in the Jacuzzi under the stars with her honey. Together they love to travel and spend time with their grandsons, Owen, Milo and Van, and granddaughter, Reese.
